Our bags are packed! We’re headed to Salt Lake City for the ASAE Annual Meeting

This weekend, August 13-16, thousands of association executives, industry partners, and thought leaders will be migrating to Salt Lake City for the Super Bowl of Conventions, otherwise known as the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition.  This year it is anticipated that 5,000+ attendees will be coming from across the country for four full days of powerful networking, thought-provoking education sessions, and innovative business solutions.

This year’s conference theme, “Give a Little, Get a Lot More,” conveys that everyone has something to teach and something to learn in return.  The hope is that attendees will share expertise and experiences, industry partners will better understand association needs, and in return all will receive ideas and support from the association community.  The meeting is chock-full of diverse content and offers many different learning formats ranging from learning labs, to deep dives, panel discussions, and even full or half day pre-conference certificate programs and workshops.  “We know that learning is social,” said Rhonda M. Payne, CAE, Chief Learning Officer at ASAE, “and both formal and informal learning experiences are a critical part of a successful, self-directed program.”

featuredThe opening keynote speech, Rocket Men: To Infinity and Beyond! will be presented by Captains Mark and Scott Kelly, NASA Astronauts.  They will reflect on how their experiences and lessons shaped their views on teamwork, leadership, risk-taking, overcoming adversity, and also share their strategy for adapting to change.

Billhighway is attending the event as a continuous learning opportunity to find out how chapter-based associations are integrating technology and managing components.  For questions regarding component relations, visit Billhighway at Booth 451 in the Association Solutions Marketplace.

When ASAE takes over a city, they always find a way to give back to the community.  This year, ASAE and the association community will be giving back to The Good Samaritan Program and the Utah Food Bank by collecting and then distributing food donations.  Proceeds from special events throughout the conference directly support these organizations.  Don’t miss out on the fun.  This is a one of a kind event.
