Billhighway will join Microsoft, Highway T and Partnering to Success LLC, for a conference highlighting some of the latest and greatest free and low-cost technology tools on the market. The two-day conference will be held on May 22, 2013, in Flint, Michigan, and is being coordinated by HandsOn-Tech Detroit, Highway T and The BEST Project.
Billhighway representatives will talk about the latest in online and mobile fundraising technology, including text-to-give, QR codes, mobile card readers and other tools that help nonprofits raise funds faster, through a presentation entitled “Giving on the Go: Nonprofit Fundraising Goes Mobile.” With mobile devices rarely beyond 4 feet of the people who own them*, it’s imperative that nonprofits leverage mobile technology as an integral part of an overall fundraising strategy.
“Our team is excited to be part of the conference and to share the latest in mobile fundraising technology with local nonprofits,” said Lisa Van Giesen, marketing leader at Billhighway and session speaker. “Attendees will gain an objective view of the most popular tools on the market today, and exposure to service providers that can help nonprofits reach their donation goals.”
The Nonprofit Free & Low-Cost Technology Tools Conference will be held at the Riverfront Banquet Center from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm. Registration is available on The BEST Project’s website and is $20 for the full-day. Additional topics include Microsoft Office 365 for Nonprofits, Tech Essentials by Highway T and Taking Your Events to New Heights with Twitter and Facebook, by Partnering to Success LLC.
“Highway T always looks forward to partnering with Billhighway on promoting the use mobile technology to nonprofits within Michigan,” remarked Leon Wilson, Director of the Highway T and HandsOn-Tech programs. “The expertise and passion that Billhighway brings not only increases nonprofits awareness of how mobile technology can be used in their respective organizations, but also positions nonprofits to better support their overall social mission in new and creative ways.”
