Leadership position further solidified by joining roster of forward-thinking socially responsible organizations
Billhighway has joined a growing list of trade, professional, cause-related organizations and business partners that have become Pioneer Signatories of the Global Principles for Socially Responsible Associations and Nonprofits.
The six voluntary principles cover responsible advocacy, environmental and economic sustainability, public protection (ethics, self-regulation and human rights), diversity, philanthropic/community services, and leadership.
“The Global Principles provide a framework specific to our sector that is helping associations identify and strategically align their core competencies and missions with the business opportunities that arise from innovative global problem-solving,” says John H. Graham IV, CEO & President, American Society of Association Executives and The Center for Association Leadership, which facilitated creation of the principles. “These Pioneer Signatories are committed to working toward a better world in ways that also benefit their organizations and members. We applaud their leadership.”
“As Billhighway grows, we have a moral responsibility to offer a positive impact on the community around us and those that we serve,” says Vince Thomas, CEO of Billhighway. “We will continue to make strides within our business by being socially responsible, acting ethically and doing things that are good for the planet and each other.”
Billhighway is the leader in Financial Performance Optimization for membership-based groups, providing the web-based system that helps organizations enjoy improved financial health, operate more efficiently, and reduce the risk of fraud. The company’s proprietary, all-in-one system comprehensively manages group finances and accounting – offering a powerful combination that helps enable organizations to spend more time advancing their mission rather than managing finances. This improved operational efficiency and financial performance can be achieved in organizations of nearly any size and type, including professional associations, social clubs, athletic and Greek organizations.
Since forming in 1999, the Michigan-based company has managed over $2.4 billion in financial transactions in the service of thousands of membership-based organizations and their members.
